So here are specs on Pilot Sport A/S's...

Size Diameter Rev's Per Mile % Off
245/40YR18 25.9" 801 0%

255/35YR19 26" 800 0.125%
285/30YR19 25.8" 803 0.25%

245/35YR20 26.6" 778 2.9%
285/30YR20 26.9 771 3.75%

255/30YR20 26.1 794 0.87%
295/25YR20 25.8 805 0.5%

Based on these specs, it seems like a little more comfort would make up for a 3-4% dispairity on the speedo. But I think it is important to keep the tire diameter very close, or it's likely to screw up the stability control.

PS: You guys have me leaning towards 20's now instead of 19's.

If you want a little more comfort, just go for 245/40/19 and 275/35/19.

LOL Henry! At first I was leaning towards 19's...but after seeing some pics of 20's (especially your car), I'm all for 20's now. I'm going to place my order later today when I get home. There's only one problem...I have to wait 7 weeks for build time PLUS 3-4 more days for shipping!

I think the 19s are a good size personally. I put my friends 19" wheels on my car just to see and it was a pretty good size. (see my crappy Cell phone picture). It felt faster, stopped better and took the bumps very nicely.

I didn't want to put my "Dubs" back on. =(

One more pic of the 19s.. This one was straight off my phone so its slightly larger.. I was rolling when I took it... But I think you get an idea of how 19s will look....

Man, i wish I could swing some 19s right now... =(

What wheels are you getting?

Trust me (from a person that went through 6 sets in less than 1 1/2 year), you won't regret getting 20's. If you get 19's, there is a alway a chance you may regret it (like me )

Here are some comparison between 19's & 20's

19's

20's

nysupraman,

Thanks for your compliment.

This is it. NO MORE NEW WHEELS. I need to save money for new car next year. We'll see what new models come out.

Maybe the new Supra or GTR or maybe even Cayman S. I miss my 350Z Roadster.

I, for one, would get 19s. Want to retain stock circumference/diameter, and they look the same to me on the above photos. But I lip would be a must for me; that's the change the car needs . Oh, and the stock brakes look ridiculous with 20s .
If car is going to be dropped, then 20s make sense, as you gain 1/2" of ground clearance, plus decrease 1/2" of fender clearance. With a modest 1" drop, car looks great, and you only lose 1/2" of ground clearance overall. But I still wouldn't go over stock diameter myself.

You guys crack me up!

SSK0771, I was going to place my order yesterday for iForged Daytona's in anthracite (their version of glossy gun metal) but I'm a little reluctant now that I read the whole TPS thread. I'm waiting for Tony's response in the other thread about iForged & TPS. Nice selection of wheels!

I'm trying to persuade a friend towards the SC430. If I'm successful I think I know where to turn to for wheels. At your rate your current wheels will be in the classifieds by the time she decides. All have been nice looking choices by the way.

. I guess you never know. I said this is the last set of wheels for my SC430 but who knows.

I am pretty happy with my purchase. NO PLANS for ANOTHER SET OF WHEELS.

Why Iforged? I never had them but I seen so many post about their horrible service. Thats one of the reason why I went with Vellanos.

Just make sure you get a good vendor when getting Iforged wheels.

By the way, whats the turn around time on Iforged wheels?
