Default Post your bent wheel problems

I started this thread so that we will know what
bent wheels problems people have had .
or
I PM'd with Doc C and he told me about
all how four rims got bent on his SC 430.

I want new wheels but not at the price of
dealing with bent rims.

This would be good info to have I've decided on Lowenharts either LSR or LT6 and at thes prices I'm not trying to see these rims all bent.

Just don't buy the cheap rims, & get those from established manufacturers with good quality reputations if you want more peace of mind. Forged wheels are supposed to be stronger, but they can get bent too depending on the quality on manufacturing. I' ve never bent a rim on any of the cars I' ve owned so far, so I can't really tell you anything on which ones to avoid, before I got the 2 cars I have right now, I' ve never bought after market rims for my previous cars anyway & even with the stock rims, I never have problems with them .

well my hre has never failed on me. as long as they are strong, and you have good tires with reasonably good tire pressure, you should be fine with most potholes.

but the bottom line, as long as the hit is bad enough, ANYTHING will bend. driving carefully it's still the key after all

Its all about how well you drive, and how well you can avoid unfortunate accidents. I been through 4 differents sets of 19's from cheap to expensive and to me it doesnt matter too much as long as you dont hit stuff your fine, but then again I have heard that florida roads are quite better than most other states. Accidents do happen but if you can try to avoid them then rims dont usually get bent.
