Has anyone pre-ordered their special edition SC in past model years? If so, how difficult was it to actually get one once they begin to sell in the US? Do most dealerships get at least one Special Edition model?
Thanks. It just seems as if it will be difficult to get one due to the low production numbers but I am prepared to pay top dollar because I love brown cars like the BWM made for the Z3 in 2002! Hopefully, it will be a great brown color ! At the very least, a number of people do not like brown so that is positive. I have searched the internet for more information on color chips but nothing else is posted and the dealerships are not releasing any information at this time. Wait, wait, wait...

That's from pics taken from a dealer's brochure at different angles, pic not high quality, but it shows it has gold flecks. I think it's probably the same brown color as the Carolina Herrera Edition shown in the Madrid Autoshow last year.
Thanks for the color chip -- it is difficult to determine color. Do the dealers have the new brochures? Where might I find a picture of the Carolina Herrera Edition shown in the Madrid Autoshow last year ?
Agreed. Well...the posted photos of the Carolina Herrera version are sweet! My dealer finally just called and said that the cars will arrive in Portland around 8/29. Sad for us, we in the Midwest will not see them until about 25 days after. I hope West Coast members will post a few shots once they hit their dealerships. I am not too excited about the camel leather because it is so common but perhaps it will be an awesome combination. The brown with red stitching in the photos is much more appealing to me. Again, wait and see.

Yes, too bad the brown leather with red stitching didn't make it to this 2006 special edition. I think one reason is that it's not easy to match it with many other colors whereas the camel can match better with other colors.
