Default Speedometer/Odometer-front or rear?

Does anyone happen to know if the speedometer/odometer is read off the front or rear wheels? I was wondering if changing the overall size of the rear wheel tires o.d. would affect these.
Thanks.

umm, i don't know if it's off front or back (i would tend to think the rear)

but yes, if you change the wheel overall diameter you will definitely affect the speed. i have over spec wheels (20s) on gs4 and i am off a little

Pretty sure it's the rear since when I am peeling out, the speedometer goes up but I'm not moving.
