Default Engine vibrates when cold; how about yours?

None of my previous 3 V8 Lexuses vibrated even a bit, but they were the 4.0 liter version.
This one is butter smooth when hot, but noticeably shakes when warming up.
Again, not big deal, but just want to make sure it's 'normal'. And this is from day 1 too gentlemen.
Please post whether you have it or not. Hopefully most of you will have the problem, which means I don't have to worry about it.
Most likely Lexus didn't bother fully balancing the crankshaft again after enlarging displacement (a usual cost cutting decision), which resulted in some shake. V8s are not inherently balanced (only inline-6s, and consequently, V12s). Being imbalanced only on secondary order vibrations, precise crankshaft counterweights offset vibrations (this is the case with flat-6s, 90º V8s, 60º V6s, etc.); otherwise counter-rotating balance shafts are also needed (inline 4s, flat-4s, 90º V6s, etc). If I'm the only one, it can be as simple as a badly gapped spark plug, to a valve not seating properly.

Many thanks for your help, and best wishes for this holiday season to all of you.

Not mine, either.

For 3 years, its smooth as butter from cranking it up to shutting it down.

Mine's in a heated garage and is fine at startup. When it has been at a hotel overnight or someplace where it's really cold in the morning, it is choppy at startup, but I just gun it to 6000 rpm and it's fine!!! Just kidding. No revving!! It goes away and is buttery smooth. My neighbor starts his truck (outside) every morning at 5:00. It sounds like he's flooring it for about 3 minutes!!!! Yikes!!! Anyone want his truck?? It's for sale!!

Thank you for replying.
Hey Doc, mine almost revs that much all by itself Always cranks normally, starts fine around 1200 rpm, goes down to about a grand for a second, and then BAAAAM! to around 2K. I actually feel the vibration when it goes down, but still cold. I'm glad you specified it happens to you when cold. Since this is no big deal, I'll wait for warmer temperatures and see if it goes away. My garage has been around 40º when I start the car lately (bought it 2 months ago), and sometimes that doesn't happen for days.
By the way, what I like about BMWs (and my acura too) is they always stay basically at idle, no matter how cold it is.

Thanks again guys.
