I have both an LS430 and SC430. Comparing the noise level, the SC430 is louder for sure. A lot of the noise seems to come from the air ducts of the HVAC system. Does most everyone else have a similar experience?

I too have an LS430 and A SC430. My Sc is noisier because of the fact its a convertible. The openings do seal, but their shape creates wind noise. I used to think both cars were really quiet, ...till I got my hearing aids. If you have hearing aids, try removing them for a nice quiet car....LOL

 

I don't have LS to compare but my SC is quiet as I expected.

 

Thanks for the replies. That is helpful. My SC430 isn't quiet but I would certianly not characterize it as loud. It's a 2010 and there isn't any signs of sun damage on it, do I feel pretty good about the seals. I think my LS430 just turned me into a cabiln noise snob.
