I've searched the forum, but haven't found anyone with this issue. Hoping you all can help. The antenna on my 2002 SC recently started popping up everyone time I turn the sound system on -- pops up for AM, FM, Tape and Disc! Any thoughts? I had a new antenna put in about 4 years ago and no problems until recently. Thanks

Yes, every time I start my 2004 the antenna goes up.

 

I just found some helpful info on this from an old forum post (member Markch):

From the 2005 manual:

The power antenna automatically extends when the radio mode or the RDS (radio data system) is on and retracts when it is off. So if you turn off the RDS feature, the antenna should stay down.

I tried this and it works!

 

I see that in the manual, but it does not say how to turn it on and off. How do you turn it off?

 

My 06 antenna only extends when I turn on the radio. It stays down when I start it. Not sure what happens if I use the CD or cassette.

 

It will stay down except in Radio mode: AM or FM.
