Purchasing a 2002 SC 430 this weekend
I am planning n buying a 2002 SC 430 with 70k and driving it 1000 miles home. As far as I can tell all new fluids and car has been garage kept. This has a clean CF and I do not see a TB sticker in the engine bay. There is no Lexus or Toyota Dealership anywhere close. Should I take to the chevy place? Any ideas?

Not sure if this helps or not.
I don't think anyone is going to tell you not to worry or not to change your belt. No one wants to give bad advice that causes an engine failure. You just have to follow your instincts so that way you can live with your decision however it turns out.
I am going to say to change your belt as soon as you can But Take a look at this post I made several years back.

This is a huge job and they would not have any experience with this engine.
I changed mine and had the Lexus service manuals, took my time and made sure it was done correctly. This was on my 2002, when i purchased a 2007, i let an independent shop do the work. They specialized in Toyota/Lexus with Toyota trained mechanics.
I would not take it to a Chevy dealer.

And I agree about not taking it to a chevy dealer.
OK thank you all for the advice. I ran the CF and to my relief the TB was done @ 66k! @SGB4570 So I am flying to Tampa and driving it back to Houston, 1,016 miles. The funny thing I have never bought a car in the city I live in.

We were going to fly to Nashville to pick ours up but ended up renting a car to drive out instead.
Got any pics of your new to be steed?
It wasn’t really difficult but there were soooo many things to remove.
When it was time to change the 2007, i started the job three times, but stopped each time due to the time involved.
paid a good Toyota Indy shop to do it with my parts.
