I joined the forum a few weeks ago after I purchased this 2004 with 118k. I am the 3rd owner and have all of the maintenance records. The car was very well maintained. All the major maintenance items have been completed / addressed except for the suspension.
Car needed a desperate detailing, paint correction after so many years of car washes.
The sound system was upgraded to a Pioneer AVH-2500NEX with an Arc Audio X2 1105 amp and speakers.
When I test drove the car I felt the worn bushings and struts (limited recovery). I have purchased the front end comments from RockAuto, but am waiting on the control arms from Figs, compliments to the Forum for the Figs Engineering info.
Beautiful!! what paint correction was needed? Looks fantastic, congrats!
Thank you JDave. The paint was tired, had light scratches, blemishes and a haze in it. Took a lot to rejuvenate without having to wet sand. After a thorough washing I used a yellow clay bar then a white clay bar. Then with Lake Country yellow CCS pads I used Meguairs No 1 Medium Cut cleaner, then Lake Country orange pad with Meguairs No. 3 Machine Glaze. Topped off with Griots Best of Show wax. Paint is back to pristine condition.
