WTB...92 or 93 SC400
I am new to the Lexus Forum, but not new to automotive forums. I used to spend a lot of time on the 300ZX forums when I had one. I know what a valuable resource these places are and this one looks like no exception.
I am in the market for an SC400 or the right SC300. I have been searching in earnest for a couple of weeks now. I have been watching eBay, this forum, cars.com, AutoTrader, you name it, I have been there trying to get an idea of fair market value for these phenomenal automobiles.
I live in Ohio, but I am willing to go virtually anywhere for the right deal. I am looking at one in Arizona and Chicago now. But before I make up my mind, It would be foolish of me not to introduce myself here and see if one of you guys might be ready to find a good home for your pampered baby.
Based on my observations and budget, I am looking for a 92 or 93 SC300 or 400, Of course my preference would be the 400. This vehicle will most likely have 80K-120K miles. It should be virtually defect free, have had regular on time service with documentation to back it up, a clean CARFAX, the timing belt must have been changed if the car has over 90K, leather should be in nice shape with minimal wear on the drivers seat.. As far as colors go, Black, Jade, dark blue, red, they are all nice. White would be my least favorite color, but I would not rule one out. I also prefer the grey leather over the tan. I am not looking for anything that is tricked out. The stocker the better.
If you are thinking about selling yours for whatever reason and it fits the criteria above please drop me an email with some photos of the exterior, interior, and engine compartment. Also please indicate what you need as far as money goes. I realize that we all would like to get 2 or 3 grand more that what we are willing to take, but for the sake of time (and possibly a sale) let's keep the negotiating window small.
I am realistically looking to make a final decision in 2 weeks. Longer if need be and shorter for an offer I can't refuse. Again distance is not really a factor, but I do want to stay away from California cars.
Thanks for your time folks and I look forward to hearing from a few of you.
