I have for sale, a brand new V160 Getrag 6speed transmission for sale. Originally, i purchased it directly from Toyota to put into my old IS300 but I no longer have the car. I have no use for this box any longer.

I will include a brand new:
6Sp. Supra Flywheel (OEM Toyota)
New flywheel bolts (OEM Toyota)
Brand new Shifter (OEM Toyota)
Brand New Slave Cyl. (OEM Toyota)
Brand New half shaft for those who want to install it in an IS300.


The transmission has never been installed. It just sits in my garage.

I am asking only $8,500

LOL. yeah, a USED V160 with a 2J that you have no idea what the history is on it. The OP's unit is brand new with pretty much every part you need to throw it in and drive it.

You can ask whatever you want as it is YOUR ITEM, but i will caution you there are other BRAND NEW units for sale, right now, on both SupraForums and eBay (and Cub Lexus). My logic is these folks (not saying you) purchased these as they were aware there were only 5 left in the US and are now trying to turn a profit. (A) the market for these JUST became discontinued so the audience you are subjecting this ad to has not felt the "pinch" yet, and (B), it's Christmas. The people that have a following for these (6spd's) that can afford them are strapped right now from the holiday's.

Just some things to think about that may help your sale. I've been in this game for a long time and I watch things like market trends a lot. At the end of the day, I wish you good luck with the sale brother.

it will sell for the asking price, a used one from japan with a 2jz would be cheaper but who knows what headache comes along with it. its worth to spend the extra money. dont let anyone low ball you, stay firm.

Looks like in the listing he is including the shifter with other parts, I remember when I first got the v160 and you have to add the other parts, not cheap

You might want to check if they even have one . I will wager that they don't have one or can't even get one.

These transmissions have been long discontinued. A few are still around and dealerships want $8800 for the bare V160 without accessories.
