Here's the requested pics. (I couldn't figure out how to send them by PM, since it would only allow me to attach images by URL instead of as an upload.) Anyone know how to release the recoil lock to pull more of the belt out for a photo? It seems like it should be obvious... Does the electrical connector need to be plugged in, maybe?

Well Shane...know those seatbelts are in prestine shape ESP since they came out of a car that had been stored in a garage and had less than 69k original miles on it...MINE!
Only reason I changed them was because I changed everything out to black seatbelts and had no need for them.

Man, I'm stumped. I don't see any lever looking thing like that and certainly no such sticker. Must have been a design change at some point, as you suggested. There are a few part numbers on the various pieces (9072711, 9077213, A081907), but good luck finding what they correspond to... I thought maybe a parts cross listing would confirm compatibility, but even the parts aren't listed.

When I bought my currently installed driver's seatbelt, I was told they're the same for all years. Maybe that was specifically for color, though.

Interesting, so it's the opposite of what we were guessing -- they added the lever instead of removing it. Which is weird, because Shane's description of what goes wrong if you don't properly situate the lever before shipping makes it sound like a feature you wouldn't want!
