Bump...
Not sure but viewed a post that the w58 remote shifter on a 95+ supra is the same and will work, can anyone clarify?
If so, can someone lead me where to find the part numbers for it.

I can verify that unfortunately the extended tripod from the w58 will NOT fit the r154 tripod mounting locations.

It's too bad because probably more than half the extended tripod r154's that get imported here end up with broken tripods during the container loading/unloading process as they are thin aluminum and kinda sticking way out there without much support.

However if you are lucky enough to get a tripod that is broke but isn't missing pieces you can weld it back together and the w58 bushings for all three mounting spots are the same as the r154, so you can freshen up the shifter feel with new supra bushings.

I do know the shifter cup and nylon pivot bushing is the same between both, and the C's short shifter fits either. So this means maybe you could buy a w58 tripod (about $150 from toyota) and have someone cut/weld the arms to proper length/angle to physically bolt up to the trans, and the shifter will fit.

I had thought about that as well, but the non tripod r154's dont all have a spot for the bottom bolt.
Some of them without it look like there is a spot you could tap it out, but other versions I think are missing it.

Lucky for me i have the tripod, but no shifter; I found that i can use majority of the parts off the w58 tripod. I just ordered parts that i can use on the W58. Discovered the shifter is not the same. Only place i can find one is from www.nengun.com which seems is going to cost me a arm and a leg, almost as much as my entire transmission.

Anyone have the connection or resources in where i can find a r154 tripod shifter?
