Thinking about buying a 92 or 93

i have a 2000 gs400 that i need to sell and i was thiniing about getting a 92 or 93 sc300 and putting like 5 grand in engine upgrades. WHat would i want to do and would it be worth it to get the sc300 or pay more and get the sc400. Is the 400 harder to mod (turbo etc). Someones advice with a moded sc300 would be great.

I'm not an expert but I would think you would want the 300. If you are planning from the start to mod it.
The 300 is just basically the supra drivetrain, and you can turbo it real easy. The 400 will be harder to turbo, would be easier to s/c, but I think you can still get the 300 to handle better, comes with a 5 speed, cheaper entry price.

you are in santa barbara?? come to the clublexus meet you can see my stick. i don't know who has them for sale. But where i go to shcool, in DC, there are sc's for sale with sticks all the time. check carmax.com seen a few on there

There is more traffic there vs here...
There's a supercharger kit coming for the SC4 decisions. decision... It depends on your desires... I perfer the smoothness and responsiveness of the V8... but in terms of a turbo go with the SC3 until theres a good turbo for the V8... Then go with the SC4!!
