When you guys stick in the bulb.. doesn't it hit the lens? did you guys do something to extend or push the lens out? I made mine out of a cd case.. it looks okay.. but the bulb hits it.. it melted the lens (cd case) and now theres a bump in the middle of both side.....

 

That's odd, mine didn't hit or melt. Where in CA are you? I can have the polycarbonate ones made for you if the case-plastic ones are ruined. Just paypal me $10 and I'll ship them to you with receipt. Offer stands for anyone else

Heh, I was trying to do that actually a few hours ago. I realize the pics I gave you make it look like light bleeds through to one side, which is strange because they don't do that in real life. Earlier today, I was trying to take pics head on and up-close in the dark of night, but of course some jackass dropped my camera over the weekend and now the shutter doesn't open. I'll have to wait until I can borrow someone's or replace this one

* I will also post pics with the chrome-orange bulbs, which I think will seal the deal on the whole clear sidemarker look. I think they will be pimp...

for 10 bucks, who cares if they dont fit your preferences. I think I'll take a set if your going to have a batch made. How do we go about this, do we pm you with address and discuss paypal? Im liking this idea compared to the clearcorners that cost so much. Same principle, different price!

 

I'm VERY interested as well, the price of this mod is unbelievable...only one problem though, I PREFER the textured transluent plastic over the clear version. Can TAP make me a set (or a couple of sets) using the textured translucent plastic? If not I guess I'll just go with purchasing the '94 Maxima bumper lenses and cut them to size. The 2 main things that are a MUST are 1. that the plastic be able to withstand the heat and not melt (being that the Maxima lens is an actual automotive lens it WILL withstand the heat) and 2. that the plastic be honeycombed or textured translucent as to look more OEM, I don't really like the clear plastic look, seems as if it's just waiting for it's first nasty scratch. So, what can you do lex400sc?

I was thinking of making a trim design or textured one, but I have no idea what kind of design I'd want (maybe just a border and horizontal stripes??), but I really don't care all that much. These are good enough. I'm going to pick up the chrome-orange bulbs at a local ricer shop here. They should have them at your area ricer stop too .
