Looking for Service Manuals
Anyone know where i can buy a service manual..or a owners manual for a 97 SC400?
I just got it last Friday(without the owners manual).
I just wanted to know the stupid stuff..like readjusting the headlights..etc..
Thanks in advance.

Hey BigD,
You can get a free copy of the owners manual directly from Lexus, off their website.

I've seen those service-repair manuals on CDs on ebay for the SC400 92-96. Where can i get one for a 97 SC400?? I don't want to pay $170bucks for the books. Are the 92-96 interiors the same as 97-00? i want to know how to take apart interiors and body panels(front nose).

Hey BigD,
I ordered one of those CD's off ebay for the 92-96. It is a pretty useful CD, although it seemed somewhat outdated, it is not a exact match to the new service manuals at the dealerships. Some of the pictures and explanations were not precise either like the actual shop manual.
Although most of the interior panels are identical between the older and newer models, I still would not chance it with a older diagram, last thing you want to do is break off some plastic tab on a $500 door panel trim.
PM me your email address, or post it here. I got a friend at the local Lexus dealership that can copy and send me .pdf files off their main service database. The dealerships now uses a online system for the service manuals.
Just let me know what sections of the service manual you need. I assume you need the body/interior sections. I'll get those files sent over to me, and I'll send them off as soon as I get your email.
Thanks
