can't beat the Duralast, I have used them for years.

Walmart. Get the most CCA's you can find in the group size. Most of their batteries are made by Johnson Controls. No need to spend hundreds on a battery

Go with Fitment code #10, for a group 48 Battery.
the battery is perhaps 1/3-1/2 inch shorter, but, will fit and screw down snugly.
SC430 2006.

I had to go to a second Costco close by but within driving distance.....
$78...whatadeal.....

Thanks for your suggestion!

I called 2 stores in Tustin, 1 in Irvine and 2 in Laguna, none had any in stock, Only the one on 27972 Cabot Road (u had checked out) has in inventory. Last Saturday I planned to pick up but on the way I stopped at O'Reilly Auto Parts for something else and I asked it he can check the battery, to my surprise the smart kid said my battery is good, shows 12.3 Volts and 350 CA. the choice was buy a charger for $39 (sale) or he'll charge it for me, so in an hour I come back and my battery is as good as new!. (Last 3 weeks 2 pepboys and 2 autozone said the battery is dead!)

I did Google search and I found a Costco Battery list (OLD) that I have attached. Fitment 10 is size 48 and right replacement but from the list few other can also be tried.

Thanks,
...mine is the 730 cca....I think you should have the same warranty, unless they've change it.The first 3 yrs is a free replacement of the battery, the last 2 years are prorated

My Lexus branded 84 month warranty battery in my 2007 Sc430 failed today, after 39 months on service. The last few days it was cranking slowly.

It was originally installed 4/2011 so it was 39 months old. Lexus dealership installed another Lexus Branded Interstate. Retail price was $162 less 50% credit for early failure, plus $57.50 labor. With tax and fees it was $146 out the door. I had a 10% service coupon.

Part number for the battery on the invoice was 00544-MFH60 INTERS. SC430 BATTERY.

I was in and out in 45 minutes. Barely enough time to stuff myself with their complementary freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, can of juice, free car wash and vacuum.

So an 84 month Warranty isn't really 84 months?

Prorated Warranty is typical of batteries. There is a free replacement period and then a prorated period. Lexus offers 2 year free replacement and after 24 months prorated to 84 months.

Duracell offers 24 month free replacement and after 24 months prorated to 60 months.

I was not the original purchaser of the battery. Most battery manufactures only extend warranty to original purchaser. Lexus service writer found the original invoice in the computer and offered me the $81 discounted price. I could have carried it in and only paid $81 plus tax and installed it myself. For the 30 minutes labor I paid, my hands were clean, car was washed and vacuumed and I got to eat the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. I also didn't risk getting acid burns on the carpet or my clothes while carrying the 50 pound battery to the parts department.

I thought about going to SAMs Club for a 2 year warranty Duracell for $109 installed. The problem with SAMs club is the wait can be several hours.

I once had a dealer installed GM Delco battery leak acid in a Chevy. The battery was in warranty but the car was not. The acid wicked through the cable to the starter motor and destroyed the starter lug. The car was out of warranty but GM replaced the battery, battery cable, battery box that was corroded and starter motor.

Finally I bought Costco battery. Paid $78 (5 min, in/out), warranty is 36 months replacement and 100 months prorated. About $9.00 per year cost. Took me 10 min to install. (I saw the guy last week at Reilly taking out/in my battery to get fully charge, easy!)

This week my Duralast Gold 48H6 battery, which was installed 2 yrs and 8 months ago - Jan 2012 in my 2008 SC430, would not hold a charge if sitting for more than 3 days. I took it back to Autozone today, they tested it to confirm failure and replaced at no charge.

The receipt states that the new replacement battery is warranted for 4 MO. Free replacement and 52 MO Prorated, which is the remaining warranty on the original battery. So original Duralast Gold is prorated for 84 months or 7 years. NOT BAD!

I have my Battery Tender connected to bring it he new battery up to full charge slowly before starting the car.

yes. I'm an Rv guy and batteries are super important in use.

all the batteries mentioned here are ok but still Valve Regulated Flooded Cell sloshy technology.

surprisingly pep boys carries Absorbed Glass Mat non slosh batteries made by the Rv industries favorite East Penn battery company.

its branded as their premium Bosch line. With a on line coupon it was $160?.

Measures out at 850 CCA. It is not an exact fit for the holddown plate to fit the batteries top shape but it works fine,

car turns over much quicker.

do check the dates as this is slow seller and the first one I bought was a year old and was bad.

Next one was three months old and 12.84 volts in the store.

no way I was going to put in a std lead acid battery.

AGM is a much superior technology.

Bring a volr meter and check all in the rack.

coupon was only on line. Did it from my sell phone in the store for the 25% off.

hope this helps.

The holddown fits slabted a bit but tightena fine.

then reset your seats memories like it shows in your owners manual, must be done right at the installation time it seems

1st - proofread before you hit "post"

2nd - they make a nice little device that takes a 9 volt radio battery and plugs into the cigarette lighter and keeps all of your electrical settings while you change the car battery
