Anyone that takes on the front sway bar, could you please post a photo of it correctly installed in order for the rest of us to avoid incorrect installation and the ABC/VSC lights? Thank you in advance.

Talked to Sewell today regarding the rear sway bar and the two parts with different descriptions in the parts list. They said its the same part, just a double entry. I ordered the top one. Hooray!

Just finished the front and rear today. Photos to come soon. In terms of installation,

-Front was easy. Bushings and mounts were an exact fit. My front bar came with the GS mounting brackets, but they did not fit the SC430 due to a different hole configuration. Therefore, I used the OEM SC430 mounts. Front bushings were a perfect fit. No troubles.
-Rear bar took some effort. Had to dissemble the two exhaust straight pipes as well as the leveling sensors. Unfortunately, the new bushing was squared at the base and OEM one was rounded (Photos will explain better), and therefore my mechanic used the OEM one and cut it at about 1/3 width to give a good base for the new busing to rest upon. All pieces went back together well but my mechanic did mention that the sway links that connect to the rear bar probably should be a little more "beefy". There was some difference in width of the holes where the links connect to the bar. I just left it as it was, as I didn't read any such suggestion on this forum nor wanted to purchase any more parts at this time.

Overall impression: So far no check engine light, so it must have been installed correctly. My mechs were really careful in comparing the old and new to make sure they were installed properly. I feel the suspension is tighter. I can feel the road a lot more and def has more grip on banks and highway exits on cloverleafs. I'm impressed and glad I put this mod into effect. Pockets are empty, but so be it.

Ok, so here's a question. I have been examining the OEM FRONT sway bar and have a hard time finding a difference btn mine and new one which was installed. They are shaped the same and feel the same in weight and pretty close, if not the same, diameter. I know the one I purchased was 28.6mm, What was the measurement on the OEM Front Bar? Any supplementation on the numbers would be appreciated.

The rear bar is def thicker than OEM. Could it be that only the rear bar (or mental expectation) is giving me the more staunch suspension feeling?

UPDATE: Using a flexible tape measure, I measured the circumference of my OEM Front Bar = 87mm
87mm/3.14 = 27.707mm diameter.

Circumference on the rear = 42mm
42mm/3.14 = 13.376 mm diameter

In conclusion, I feel that the front is a minimal improvement, while the rear is a huge change by the numbers. In hindsight, I would only have done the rear knowing this.

guys
the front stock bar is 26mm and the new bar is only 28.6 like (Shawn) said the front was minimal but the rear is the major upgrade when you put them to gather you get a well balanced sway bar setup. the 430sc had a sway bar problem from the start to small front and rear. now you have the stock ISF setup for the street. using the front 33mm bar will change the balance to the car.
slvbullet: used the 33mm front and 19mm rear this is the BEST setup for the track you can do. we talked about this but I wanted a good street setup so I went with the 28.6mm front and 17mm rear. going from a 26mm front to 28,6mm front gave that little extra needed to balance the setup.
shawn
you must use caliber tool to check it you'll see it is 28.6mm and the stock is 26mm this is like you said minimal but the 2.6 mm larger bar balanced the setup. I don't think you wasted your money for 2.6 larger bar. if you use the poly bushing it's better yet. its all about getting the car well balanced.
