Default Please share your thoughts on this Body Kit

I am considering buying a body kit for my sc430, I love the concept of this one but upon looking at the images, I have noticed slight differences that may be an issue..

(images at bottom of listing)

Eg the front bumper does not seem to have a place for fog lights.

I really like it and am considering buying it and so I was wondering if anyone has come across something similar and if you would recommend

Thank you and best

Looks good to me. Especially since it comes with the side fender vents (ive been wanting those for a while). There's an entire thread devoted to body kits: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...like-best.html

Thanks all for your responses.

It looks like the product that is actually for sale is a replica of some description and the product seen in the white image is the original that they are attemting to re-create which is why i am obviously worried it wont fit etc. problem is, it seems to be the only lexux sc430 body kit for sale from retailers in the UK.

Apparently it originates in america somewhere and was released last week but they are selling it in europe.

For those who are curious, the price is $1956.86 or £1200.

What year is your sc?
Just by look at the pics of the actual pieces, I am pretty sure it won't fit an 06+ unless you want to buy a pre 06 grille.

Did they tell you the body kit was from America? No domestic sellers here in the US are selling it.
I saw the very same website selling it early this year, so it couldn't be just released last week.

Btw, all the original pics for that body kit I posted were from a Germany company whose headquarter is in Poland.

£1200 is a lot to blow on a Polish replica kit, quality and fit will be an issue. Sure a good body shop will be able to fit even the poorest fitting kit at a price.

Myself I would opt for a genuine kit and import it from Japan to the UK. Yes, it will cost a lot more but you will get what you pay for.

Id rather have no kit then ruin a luxury car with a questionable replica kit. Yes, it could turn out fine but you'd be buying blind.

^^Agreed.. I thought this was suspect.. I know I saw that kit before but could'nt remember where. I would stay away from replicas imho.. especially if your not sure of fitment. Aquanuke has some valid points.

TBH a genuine full kit with fenders like the Job Design or Artisan Spirits will be around the £5,000 mark. So either that kit is a fantastic bargain or seriously cutting corners.

This is very tempting.. fortunately my car is done

i also have been interested in this kit ever since i saw it a few years ago. I am worried about an immitation though. Has anyone know or know of someone who had gotten an immitation kit and had alot of issues?? Also keep in mind the side skirts in the pic arent the side skirts it shows for the kit. The ones in the kit almost look like immitation job design.

The fact that they don't have any pictures of their kit painted and installed should tell you something.
