Default Fr Suspension Arm Issues on Early Build SC430's

From the "What to look for" in FAQ when buying an SC430

Rough Ride (multiple issues)
Front suspension arm issues and if they have not been replaced this may cause it.

Question: I'm looking at a 2003 w/. a mfg date of Aug '02 could you please elaborate on the Fr suspension arm issues and the symptoms/diagnosis? The fix? Was it a recall item? Will the dealer correct? Would an August 2002 be included in the early builds with this problem?

Thanks for any feedback and guidance.

I drove my 02' C430 until it had 163k miles and sold it recently but never had any issues with suspension/control arm.

I have an 02 with 125K on it. I can tell you that around 88K my ride got very harsh. I feel every bump and I fear that it sounds bad. It does not sound like a Lexus.

I like you to look at my vehicle which fractured at 3 places fromthe suspension arm. I sent the report to NHTSA. Do you anything similar to this. I am posting the website that I posted with pictures of my Lexus SC430 incident regarding fractured knucle arm, ball joint and steering arm. I hope you can tell me the symptoms you experienced with you SC430. I saw another post from carcomplaints.com about her fractured ball joint but she did not have an accident. I was wondering if there are other similar incident. As far as I know the GS300 shares the same suspension parts as the SC430. The GS300 I think were recalled.

Thanks
My SC430 2002 floats in the air sway from side to side and even the smallest bump grabs jerks the steering wheel AND the had to change out the ball joints they failed to the point the wheel detached from the car thankfully it fell off in a drive-thru. only 70K miles it's sitting in the garage waiting for enough money to take it to the shop.

Did you ever get the side to side issue resolved? I just bought an 02 and it does this as well... I looked at the Lexus service history and the original owner complained about it at 1k miles.... its a weird feeling...
