Default 85 mph Handling

I recently purchased a 2002 SC430 with 51K miles. Run flats have been removed, and I have inspected both front and rear suspension for wear or damage.
The problem is that at higher speeds the car feels unstable when cornering. It feels as if the suspension loads up and then releases over and over again. I have searched this site extensively and inspected everything mentioned at least twice. I'm really at a loss to explain this behavior. The lower control arms #2 are in good shape, as are the upper and lower control arms and ball joints.
Any additional help would be appreciated, Thankyou all in advance for any help you can provide!

i agree, always change the OEM shocks first.

I agree that the shocks are a reasonable first step. I will let you know how it works out.

I purchased KYB struts for the front. And after reading some other posts I also bought new front rotors and ceramic pads. I had checked runout on the front rotors and one was perfect but the other had.007 run out so I will replace them. Install tomorrow!

poor sway bar sizing. Too long of a shock spring. Poor dampening rates.

thats why the different aftermarket shocks and spring sets were made.

some 02's had incorrect body the subframe mounts. Call steve at luxury motorcars in Monrovia, ca. He built the luxlink stuff.

My SC had Tein Comfort Sport coilovers and its still loose during high speed cornering. I guess the nature of the SC was mean for cruising and not racing. Its overall suspension setup are soft and bouncy compare to other sport car with firm suspension.

As I said I would do, here are the results of my shock replacement.

The right front was worn and not fully pressurized, the left front was almost seized in place at ride height. It would not move without a lot of pressure in or out.

Obviously the suspension works now, is more comfortable over large bumps, and the car seems to handle much better than before. If I had owned the vehicle for a longer period I certainly would have noticed the change in ride, but the car is new to me. The front rotors eliminated the pulsation when braking too. If anyone has the need for my old rotors you can have them. They're uncut but need to be machined before use. Let me know, I am north of Seattle.
