I went on the group buy to get the NavTool. For those of you who live in Southern California I highly recommend Luxury Motorworks in Monrovia off the 210. For those who don't know the NavTool allows you to add a back-up camera and another video source, such as Video Ipod (what I currently use), DVD player, video game or any other aud-video source. You will need VaisTech or Fm modulation for audio. I purchased my 2002 SC 430 (24K MI) in June of this year and added the Luxlink with remote engine start and remote power top. So I also have now added the power rear windows as well.

My Christmas present from the lovely wife is:
Oil change with mobile one
Power rear windows ($470)
My NavTool with installer paying for all other parts listed below ($623 total)
Rear camera
FM modulation
Update on the Nav to 8.1 (pre-ordered & paid last summer)

The result is that I can now have the rear windows up or down with the roof up or down.

and anytime the car is in reverse the back-up camera is on

and I have my choice (via a switch under the dash) of navigation or video ipod or DVD player or video games.

BTW, you can google Luxury Motorworks for more info.

I had my knee replaced a month ago and can only get behind the steering wheel with the top down (TGISC-Thank God I live in SoCal)-I can't wait until I have full use of my beloved SC.

It has been a very lovely (premature) Christmas indeed!!!

and to all a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn Santa was nice to you huh? Real sweet set up you have now.
I always wondered why there was never a manual switch put in for the rear windows from the factory. Power rear windows was that done at the Lexus dealer?

Coverage with warranty too
Luxury Motorworks did ALL the work, including the windows. They also found that I had a small leak from the tranny pan gasket, that they repaired. That was fortunately covered by a 3rd party warranty company that I took out from my credit union. Now that was a deal-7 year/75K miles/zero deductable for $1300. It will cover my SC until 2015 or nearly 100K miles. Motorworks said that the warranty company was easy to work with and I didn't have to pay a dime towards the repair. BTW it is white gold w/ecru interior-I'm lovin it!

Camera location
It is mounted in the license plate flame. The frame come in several colors-I chose chrome. The lens is adjustable so it can be aimed.

Old memories in Chicago
I used to live near Chicago. Lansing -south suburbs near Indiana. Also graduated from NIU in DeKalb. Dont miss the cold and snow, even tho the wife complains about the lack of a WHITE Christmas. I tell her to look at the snow capped mountains-close enough for me.

Tell wifey it was -4 degrees here last night and it's 2 degrees right now. We've had more snow this December than any year prior that I can remember... and I ain't no spring chicken anymore

OP: sorry for veering off-course on this thread....

Here's the frame on the car. Distance shots as well as closeups. The box is from the camera. Never been a problem and like the view (vert. adjustable) and shows up great at night. Better than my (backup) cameras on my Infiniti as well as my Odyssey.
