Wrecked!
Been a long time since I posted on here but thought I'd share some sad news.
Just wrecked my supercharged 12 almost 11 second 95 SC400. Put it into a ditch and was stopped by a telephone poll. Have no idea how bad it is yet as it's dark and raining.
The water that I hit is at least 6 inches deep and I was probably going a bit fast, didn't stand a chance.
Kind of worried the insurance will want to total the car. I do have full coverage on it at least.

If you're posting, that means you're O.K . at least. Thank God for that. If they total it, so what. You can find another one on the cheap and transplant as much as you can. If not, buy it back, part it out and make some money. Not to sound like a ****,,,but if those Supra wheels have survived, lemme know..........
Say a prayer today for the tomorrow you get to see.

Glad you are ok. I hate to read these kinds of posts. Sorry for your loss. Post some pictures when you can, if its not heart breaking. I keep reading these "wrecked SC's" way too much here lately.

I totally forgot to bring a camera with me when I went back out to the car.
The worst part, it's almost funny really, another car came along about an hour later and did the same thing but his car was stopped by my car.
Pretty sure it will be totaled.
Looks as though the engine probably didn't suffer any damage, which is good because it only has about 15k since rebuilt and has a few expensive parts in it. The supercharger is probably also ok as the other side of the car hit the pole.

Sorry for your loss but good to hear you are ok. Your insurance should give you the option to buy it back. I went through that when someone totaled my Q45. Insurance will give you an estimate on the value of the car and then subtract from that the cost to buy back the car.

Very glad you're okay. I've had one close encounter with my SC in the rain and it came very unexpectedly. I hope you can get your wrecked car back and transplant everything. It sounds like you had it set up the way you wanted.
These are fairly tail happy cars once they get modified. I wish I had the crappy TRAC system in mine for rainy days :/ Anyway, it protected you and that is the most important thing.

That's sad to hear I've read so many of your build threads too. I don't think it's all the car's fault though any car that hydroplanes can end in this same result. Glad to hear you are ok and the motor is ok. Now you can buy it back and transplant that motor into something else. The way that the buy back works is most of the time depending on the insurance company if it is total they'll give you kbb or nada value. If you didn't have insurance to cover aftermarket stuff then they wont give you anything for those items. Then what they do is they minus the damages from that value and get your buy back rate. In most cases I would say take the pay out because you can find another SC but since yours had mods and stuff you'll probably make more by buying it back and parting it out or transplanting that set up into something else.
