hey guys, i just swapped out my fender this morning and it wasn't as bad as i though it would be. I've searched for DIY with pictures, but no go so i decided to document and hopefully help out the people who need to change their fenders

Items needed
Zip lock bags (label the bolts) 12 bolts total
10mm Socket
10mm Wrench
Drinks
a Friend

Before anything, to remove the fender you MUST remove the headlight, it is held on by 3 bolts total. One on top and 2 behind the wheel liner.

Engine bay there are 3 bolts circled in red.


1 sits right behind the headlight


2 that sit UNDER the headlight


2 between the fender and bumper


1 behind the plastic strip just pull it off




1 bolt near the sideskirts/door molding


2 are on the bottom part of the fender, i couldn't get a picture

End product




Few tips
if you have a hard time taking the 2 bolts UNDER the headlight out you can take off the side marker for more clearance.
also have the friend help align the fender

I forgot about the fender lining, not sure on how many bolts since my wheel tore the lining off.

Oh it payed off more than I though..found about 3lbs of dirt/leaves/junk at the bottom section of the fender..I would say this is a must to clean hidden debris.

I went at this with no prior knowledge about a year ago, was so annoying finding all the bolts. Those who plan on taking their fender off in the future, bookmark this.

yeah, i remember when i took off the lining, and there was so much dirt and gunk it was disgusting.

cause its cool

 

cause its the new JDM tyte-yo style....


but seriously, wire tucks, harness repair for the slammed, cleaning crap from little areas, replacing damaged fenders, finding lost tools, partouts, replacing with wide fenders...I can keep going on the reasons.
