Default How do you remove these?? (Pics)

It is for the door pillar. Mine is really faded.

I don't know if these can be removed easily. I have asked many techs and body parts guys, and none know the answer. There are two little screws, which I took off, but it still didn't come off.

That circled piece is actually attached to the entire chrome trim around your window. That trim is held in place by several small screws behind the door panel. Jewcano is correct, you have to remove the sideview mirror to remove that chrome trim.

If you just want to remove the black cover that's circled in red, that part is held on by double sided tape to the chrome trim. I used a putty knife to remove mine in order to replace with a nonfaded one.

Don't bother, just tape it up and do whatever you are going to do. It's not worth the hassle and a good tape job will handle whatever you do.

Thanks for the the suggestions guys. I guess I will just paint it. I just don't know which paint to use and how to do the prep work for such a material. I also want the paint to match with the other side, which is why I was hesitating to do it.

If anyone did it, which paint did you use?

Im not positve on the lexus but on my other car, they are held on by these lil clamps. Like, theres a hole in the door and the "clamps" shove inside of the hole. Its a pain to get it off without snapping them.

Hey man, I just used a Sharpie marker for a minor touch up and it looks great. The ink has a slight shimmer to it that blends in nicely and it lasts a while. Do that until you figure out what you wanna do, looks better than chips As far as repainting goes, I would just do like the others say and tape it up.

If they are the same as the soarer they are just stuck on with a STRONG double sided tape. They are actually stainless and polish up like chrome.
