Default Changing my auto shifting points?

Is there anyway to change my auto shifting points?

Even with the ECT/PWR button on my SC300. It will shift at 5500 rpm, which seems funny, since everywhere I look the 2jz-ge is rated at 225 hp at 6000 rpm, it seems that the car is shifting 500 rpm to early. And if I start from a roll like at 5 mph or so it will shift out of first at 4000 rpm, If I floor it above 20 mph it will not shift into first at all. Frustating seeing how the gears are long, and you can take first above 40 mph, second above 70 mph, and 3rd to about 110 mph.

I know this is done so that the car has smooth granny soothing ride, but its seriously starting to get on my nerves.

The few times I have manual shifted my car I deffinitvely feel the car pull till a lilttle above 6000 rpm, actually It feels like if the car shifted at 6300 rpm, itd be perfect. Problem is, we all know that manual shifting the tranny, is not good, not to mention that its hard to do it considered that the car seemed to be designed with a little bit of slippage. The only way to get it to shift at that ideal spot is for me to manually shift the car at 5300 rpm, If I go above that, say 5500 rpm, I have to let go of he gas or else i will bounce of the rev limiter and then shift. If I let go of the gas I wont hit the rev limiter but when I press on it Ill still be on first then chainging at 6300 rpm into second, where I wanted to shift at first place, but I lost time doing this..

If I shift below 5300 rpm the car shifts at 5500 rpm as ussual defeating the whole purpose. Witht he small delay its difficult to shift at the right point, not to mention not good for the tranny. (although its gone once I put in the 2jz-gte.)

Anything out there that could make the car shift at 6300 rpm by itself? At least when the pwr button is on?

well there is not much you can do to change the shifting point. other than have someone to chip the ecu for ya or going stand alone or change to domestic tranny and get a mannaul body..

as long as you change the ATF and filter... shifting mannualy on your tranny is not really hard on tranny like you think it will be...... I have some tranny expreience but I still hasnt seen the tranny that breaks because of the manual shifting...... but I could be wrong... you never know one of these days what would happen..

This sounds really silly, but im almost tempted to get a stupid shift light and set it for 5300 rpm.

Reason thats holding me back is that itd look so out of synch in a stock sc300, or any sc300 for that matter.

But I am thinking of maybe sticking colored transparent tape on the dash, something thad make it easier to see with pheripheral vision.

... Ideas?

In my 94 gs3 I noticed that manual shifting will actually make you end up going slower in the end cause you need to let go of the accelerator for the tranny to switch gears, if you don't it will redline. Mine shifts at like 5,800 - 6,000 rpm.
