Gauge cluster help

Got a 97 sc400 and fuel and temp gauge dont work at all. Also the odometer doesnt light up. I decided to take the cluster out and some screws were loose and i find a couple bulb sockets that dont have bulbs but they dont have the copper ring around them like the others. They are on the bottom row of bulbs.

Hello and welcome to ClubLexus!

I think you are correct about those empty bulb sockets-- they should be populated and are empty for some reason. You can order new bulbs from Lexus. We have a couple of threads here detailing exactly which ones to buy:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...t-numbers.html

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...ter-bulbs.html

...

However for gauges that have motors which are not working correctly or needles that are not lighting up we recommend you contact Tanin Auto Electronix to send your in to them for repair service. They've been taking care of SC300/400 owners to repair instrument clusters, climate control units and (upon special request) the main engine ECUs for many years now.

They can do LED upgrades to your cluster as well.

However if all you need is to have those couple of bulbs replaced then you'll be able to get them at any Lexus dealer parts counter.
