Default Dyno Numbers are in.

Went down to the dyno today and ran my 1992 SC400.

Base run with X-pipe and custom true dual catback with Walbro 255LPH fuel pump
2 runs best RWHP was 202.87
2 runs best RWTQ was 217.66

Tuned with S-AFC and X-pipe and custom true dual catback with walbro 255LPH fuel pump
4 runs best RWHP was 210.06
4 runs best RWTQ was 231.79

The S-AFC give you 8-10RWHP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE POWERBAND!

I have a scanner at work so I will scan them in on monday.

Great proof that tuning with a near stock car and S-AFC WILL GIVE GAINS. No turbo needed.

8-10 RWHP and even more torque! Good job! This is proof for what we have all been saying (except for one naysayer) that the SAFC WILL give more than 2-3 hp on an sc400.

just to clear the air, i think it was only one guy on here that claimed otherwise

but also to remind you; 10rwhp is nothing compared to the 75-90rwhp i gained from putting on my cheap turbo kit

cant wait to see what the supercharger does for people... thinking of a next car for the girlfriend... she's got a 99 altima and a 98-99 SC400 is on the list with a GS400

Hehe, who would that one guy be?? (no need to answer)

BTW, mind saying how much you put into your turbo kit?

I hear ya.. I can't wait to get some forced induction on my car.
well you figure you spend $5000 on a forced induction that's at best $55/RWHP and worst $66/RWHP (RAW price)
The S-AFC was $46/RWHP at worst and $40/RWHP at best. (price includes SAFC+tuning) self install.
so I say it's well worth the money when you look at RWHP/dollar

so a good way to see it is
exhaust $350/parts + $500 labor
S-AFC $225/parts + $150 dyno
Walbro fuel pump $190/parts + $200 install
total $1615
Base SC400 = 178HP to my peak @ 210HP = 32RWHP gain.
the good thing is that the gains are all throughout the range.

good luck and will post some sheets on monday.

If you guys in NY/NJ/CT interested in going down to these guys to have your cars tested or whatever my local group JTF is going down there before the 1st snow. We have like 5 cars and can get group rate if we have more than 10.

let me know dudes.

Am I right in assuming you got the older (Ver1) Safc? I wonder how much more gains you would see with version 2 since a few more set points?
