Default How important is preloading w lca

I’m having a lower control arm put in tomorrow by my mobile mechanic. I just learned about preloading. How important is it ? Will my mechanic know about preloading. He’s not certified but he does alot of work for people. I don’t want to offend him by asking. I don’t want my bushings torn up

depends on the bushing type. If its poly bushings then there is no difference as the bushing spins freely in the sleeve. if they are OEM bushings, then you need to have him preload the suspension, otherwise you'll tear the bushing after bottoming out a few times.
