Default 1995 sc400 parking light bulb cover

Hi Guys,

New to the forum, I just completed the disassembly of my headlight assembly (thanks to OLT)

I realized after taking it apart that my parking light bulb cover (if that is what you call it) had been burned badly. I have searched the forms but could not find anywhere to buy a replacement.

Is this a part I can order? I saw a previous thread a few year back that said to check with some of the vendors here that might have some?

Thanks!

Not vouching for that site it came up in an image search. Or do you mean something inside the headlight assembly.

So it is the bulb housing that is next to the headlight inside the assembly. The headlight assembly has three bulbs. I am trying to replace the plastic housing cover that is in the middle, between headlight and turn signal light I believe.

I doubt individual components of these headlights are still sold.

I have absolutely zero experience with this but if your headlight housing is badly damaged it may be worth it to either

1.just replace the entire housing with a used one in better condition than yours. You can get them pretty damn cheap on FB marketplace from part outs.
2.look into retrofitting a more modern lights parts. Original Garage status sells this as a service and a package you can buy and do yourself I think?
3.buy a headlight with a broken lens, but not a broken interior and swap your lens onto it, this may be the cheapest but also probably the most headaches... what if when its resealed you end up with a leaking headlight?

I'm currently looking into upgrading my headlights. I'd like something more modern looking. Not going with the crap on ebay though

That piece is removable, although I've never figured out exactly how... There must be some special tool that depresses the tabs while placing suction on the inside of the tube or something to pull it out, as there's nothing to grab onto. That or it's meant to be removed when the lens is off.

I've never seen replacement tubes available, but you might get lucky at a junkyard, finding a busted up headlight with good tube that can be pushed out via the smashed interior. Something like that they'd probably give you free if you're buying a few things.

Yes, I was able to slide it out when I took apart the assembly, looks like a junkyard near me has an assembly I can buy and strip parts from. Thanks for the help guys!
