Default Found a stock location replacement sub

Was trying to find a sub that replaced the factory 10". Searched, and only one thread on here found one, but it is now an obsolete part. Ordered a bunch of subs to test and the one that worked was the Pioneer TS-A2500LS4. I removed the OEM factory bracket and bottom piece (I will call the spacer) and it fit perfectly. Had to drill two screw holes in the metal bracket, but that was it. This was listed as a shallow mount free-air sub.

Thank you for doing this research! It looks like a good fit to me

What is it rated at for watts, ohms, etc?

Here are the specs:
  • 1200 Watts Max Power (300 Watts Nominal)
  • Unique Design with just 3-3/8" Mounting Depth
  • Small Enclosure Use (0.35 ~ 0.7 cu. ft.)
  • 4 ohms Single Voice Coil
  • Glass Fiber and Mica Reinforced IMPP Cone
  • Double reinforced Spider
  • 8-AWG Push Terminals
  • Rubber Surround
My goal is to refresh the current factory speakers, so not going for a crazy system. Just something that sounds better than stock in stock locations.

How does it sound? I vaguely recall that the ohm rating of the factory sub is kinda weird so using a 4ohm sub would end up running at a lower power rating?

I'm runing an earthquake sws-10x. it has a mounting depth of 2-11/16". 4 ohm and 400 watt max rating. Using an aftermarket amp to push it.

Not sure yet. I am getting the car to the upholstery shop to get the carpet and headliner done next week, once the car is back I will install the rest of the components. I was thinking of using the JL C1-650s for the front and rear and a Pioneer GM-D9705 for the amp.

That's the same setup I went with (Alpine amp). Works quite well.

Nice to have additional options listed, OP.
