can u swap a 5speed from a sc300 to a sc400? if not why?? do they make manualls for the 400s?

 

no 5speed manual from factory for SC400
cannot do the swap because 1 computer controls both tranny and engine... if you really really really wanted to do it it's a custom job and you will need to go standalone engine management and corresponding manual tranny ECU (i.e. supra 6 or supra 5 or sc300 5speeds)

why do you spent time searching to swap your engine?
just buy sc300 and if you want more power just install turbo.........

 

Yeah, the guy's name is Ben Creswick. Everyday i look at those pics and dream. Its not about maximizing power (all top drag racers are auto), but its about the feel of driving actually driving the car - selecting the gears, working the clutch etc. And for me, the V8 has it hands down; the sound of a V8 always makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!
