Default A Good Museum To Donate My Car To!

Hi, does anybody know where i can donate my jdm soarer to a good museum? it looks like i am not going to be able to keep it here[tx]for much longer, and rather than send it back to the uk,it may be simpler to just offload it here!
Your input would be appreciated.

I think the best museum would be my garage. I'd open it on a daily basis and let people look at it. Small admission fee. I'd act like a know it all to make sure my customers got the full museum experience. Other than that I can't think of one. Most car museums only early classics or muscle cars. I'm sure a fellow CL would give that Soarer a better home than some stuffy museum. These cars aren't happy unless they're breathing.

I have been working alot the past few months and have not been on CL as much, I am sure you have already stated in another post, but why are you not able to keep your JDM ? Also you are not able to see it to anyone in another state ???

I am sorry to hear, I hope everything works out....

Yeah, i'd like to hear the scoop on this one BAZ. You brought it out in the open, now spill the beans man.
I'm assuming it has to do with importing it?

Basically he is having troubles with the DOT. They claim that they don't know how crash worthy it is since its RHD. Therefore, he could only keep it one year before he has to send it back or they crush it.
There, saved you some typing BAZ

If push comes to shove man, part the car out to people who would use the parts and give them a good home. Or buy a USDM SC and swap all the parts over.

WTF.. That is stupid.. Could you keep it as a track car as nextlevelcoupe stated ??? Also if you have a car reg as a track car I take it you can ONLY use it on track ?? What happens if you get caught driving it on a public road ??

GL with it, hope you can find a way for the DOT to kiss your........ A$$ (as onelasttry mentioned)

Sorry to hear that BAZ!

You could make it into a showcar and make some kind of written statement the the DOT saying that you will not drive the car or somethin'.

I agree with the others. I would buy a wiring diagram from Jeff Harper in Australia, then buy a clapped out SC400, and swap over the air suspension/EMV/badges etc.

Wont be easy, but alot easier than giving a perfectly good soarer away. After you have taken all the electrical goodies out, you could sell the body panels to try to recoup some of the costs...
