A Good Museum To Donate My Car To!
Hi, does anybody know where i can donate my jdm soarer to a good museum? it looks like i am not going to be able to keep it here[tx]for much longer, and rather than send it back to the uk,it may be simpler to just offload it here!
Your input would be appreciated.

I think the best museum would be my garage. I'd open it on a daily basis and let people look at it. Small admission fee. I'd act like a know it all to make sure my customers got the full museum experience. Other than that I can't think of one. Most car museums only early classics or muscle cars. I'm sure a fellow CL would give that Soarer a better home than some stuffy museum. These cars aren't happy unless they're breathing.

Yeah, i'd like to hear the scoop on this one BAZ. You brought it out in the open, now spill the beans man.
I'm assuming it has to do with importing it?

Basically he is having troubles with the DOT. They claim that they don't know how crash worthy it is since its RHD. Therefore, he could only keep it one year before he has to send it back or they crush it.
There, saved you some typing BAZ

I agree with the others. I would buy a wiring diagram from Jeff Harper in Australia, then buy a clapped out SC400, and swap over the air suspension/EMV/badges etc.
Wont be easy, but alot easier than giving a perfectly good soarer away. After you have taken all the electrical goodies out, you could sell the body panels to try to recoup some of the costs...
