I own a 1995 SC400. Just getting to the point, at around 35-45mph the car will almost shutter but not quite buck. And then on the ignitor coil if yoy just hardly touch it, it kills thr car completly, trying to push the plug in out of curiosity thinking it might be a little loose it shocked the fire outta me(car was running). Also on the air intake the air box where the filter would sit, is gone and just has a k&n air filter and ive accidentaly broken off a small I would assume vaccum like thing doesnt seem to affect it to me. I would just pull a whole intake right off one from some car yards but I just cannot find one at all so any help on that would be just amazing. Also when going anywhere in the area of 65-80+ the car shakes a bit. The steering wheel will shake and its not from the roads. Ive also noticed that the old air intake (a standard $29spectre intake from anywhere) always the car to climb rpms fast than the brandnew K&N we just got, any ideas? The overall goal for the car is too get a supercharger on ir amd get anywhere from 400-500hp. Small wueation i cant seem to find what the actual hp for the 95' sc400 is? Only thing done to it has been
-new radiator
-new idler pulley( old one gave up)
-some exhaust work just straight piped from the resonators
-alpine amp cause the guy we bought it from messed it all up
What im looking for from here is coilover, air intake preferably aftermarker since i can't go BFI, fixing the shutter problem, maybe some ideas for wheels, and some cams would be nice I know their not cheap, and anything else you guys have done that has worked for you would be great. Thanks for reading!

I had hesitation issues in the 40 mph range that ended up being bad-ish ignition coils. I came across a used set and tried them out, having chased all the more likely culprits, and was very pleasantly surprised that that was the cause.

There's a vacuum barb on the intake that goes over to the IACV (idle air) on the front of the intake manifold. The hoses harden (replace them with silicone) and become much tougher than the plastic barb, resulting in easy breakage. It sounds like that's what you're describing.

The highway speeds shaking might be a worn transmission mount.
