Default Help.... Nakamichi issue

Hey guys, I’m having a problem with my 97 Lexus sc400 with the nakamichi system. My original amp burnt out so I recently replaced it with another nakamichi amp and it worked well for a few weeks. Now the radio fuse under the hood keeps blowing. I plugged the old amp back in, there is no sound but displays everything but the fuse doesn’t blow. Is there’s something wrong with the new amp because with it plugged up the fuse blows as soon as I put it in. Any help would be great😢

Sounds like you probably have a loose connection or a short somewhere. I'd say check for any loose pins in the amp connection and maybe open up the amp and see if there is any visible scorching anywhere inside. Also I never did any research regarding the amp versions but based on my previous experience with the radio unit, I also recommend doulbe checking to make sure the new amp came out of the same year and model as your car.

I sort of recall '98+ being a different amp, but that may be the CD changer I'm thinking of.
