Default unknown hose

So I changed my oil today on my 93 SC400 and when I was about to screw the bottom cover back on(after putting the oil filter on) and noticed there was a small hose hanging loosely. It wasn't connected to anything but I followed it to see where it came from and it seems to be coming from something under the battery. Does anyone know what this is, where I need to connect it to, and if it would be OK for me to drive without it connected?

Mine hangs down about a inch, you can see it if you lay down on the ground. Thats the hose your talking about, right? I'm pretty sure its for some type of water drainage, maybe the AC?

Just leave it alone. The hose you're talking about is underneath the battery tray. This hose is just for drain the water from rain/moisture that corrected under the battery tray.

Is it on the left front? I see that everytime I look at my car from far away, and I want to cut it shorter...Looks so ugly sticking out like that...

actually there should be three or so?, one on each side of the engine, one long is for battery drainage and the other, a shorter one, should be from the coolant tank overflow thingy magigy, and one around the passanger area for a/c thingy..
