I have a 98 SC 400 with a 12 disc changer in the trunk. The changer is not operating. I looked on the internet for companies that fix them or a replacement. No luck. I'm hoping for alternatives.

i know this isnt contributing at all but... CD's? still? (sorry)

 

Mine is balky at times. I have to assure the sliding lid is closed for the release to work when the button is operated. When it stops making noises I need to slide the lid all the way forward and hold it in order to fetch the cassette. Doesn't always work and must be retried.

 

Good day. I believe your finance would be much better spent on a new dash kit and double deck stereo unit. I would stir clear of making cd changer operational. My car came with two, neither functioned....just like a cellphone that I have discovered with cord being cut inside the arm rest console. Cool souvenir though
