mine usually sits at just over the center white line. Sometimes right on it if it’s cold out. 93 SC400. 292,208 miles with a aftermarket aluminum radiator and stock hydro fan.

Thanks Super400! My 92 sc400 needle is in 2'oclock position. Replaced ecu sensor, temp gauge sensor, thermostat w/oem. Infrared
gun says its 205 degrees on one side of thermostat and about 190 at heater hose side. Anyone?

Have you check your coolant levels and made sure you have the correct water to antifreeze ratio? Also how old is your coolant? Have you replaced the coolant temp sensor on the top of the engine? Is you fan spinning correctly? You could also have a clog in the heater core. I know that’s a lot, Therese just a lot of variables with these things. It’s super rare but you could also have a blown head gasket.

147000 mi. Flushed cooling system. Wasn't dirty.New coolant.Coolant level doesn't change. Fan working.New cap.Heater blows hot.Dash gauge replaced.Yes replaced both coolant gauges. Still shows running at 2 o'clock. No codes coming up. Radiator fins clear. Runs same temp whether hot or cold day, freeway or city driving

Could be that the actual gauge in the dash has failed/started to fail.

Thanks for interest super400. It probably isn't the gauge, unless the new gauge I had installed is also bad.Took forever to get one ordered from dealer
