Defective distributor rotor?
So in my previous bread I posted about ny findings about a completely obliterated distributor rotor.
Like a sane person would do I changed it out with one from oreillys
Then when I started it idled very rough and was running rich/making lots of exhaust smoke.
Messed around with it and couldn't get it to run right. Also positive the firing order is correct.
Then like an insane person I switched out the rotor with the old obliterated one and the smoke disappeared and the idle became smooth again.
So I'm thinking this $10 rotor is no good, but I guess I'm posting in case you guys have any other thoughts. I appreciate any help, thanks guys.
