When you say "experimental hyper yellow needles", do you mean you bought generic needles and put them on your SC?

I read this thread over but I couldn't quite figure out what you did with the needles...

They look great IMO. I would love to have them on my dash, then I would actually think about replenishing my car.

I'm from Knoxville; where did you get the caps from and ABOUT how much time did you spend installing them?

nah they're the thick ones, they cost about 1.99 for 4
although i think this type of modification is kinda rice..
to each of their own..

how would you go on about fixing your dashboard if the lights went out on them?

would you rather have choices or no choices?

You call somebody or something rice in every post you post.

by the way... I check out your website and I have to say you have no authority to "that's rice" anyone here.

but "TO EACH THEIR OWN" right? so TO EACH THEIR OWN and stop calling everything rice.

don't knock what you don't got.

did I miss anything?

and oh yeah.. if people took a vote I think we rather have onelasttry over you anyday..

I'm just ashamed that my local track club's name is the same as your screen name.

Default Did I say you're Good???

Onelasttry:

You mods are absolutely the Tip of the Iceberg, Cream of the Crop, Best of the Best, or should I say TRICK, or even SICK (Ironic, sick used to carry a negative connotation, now it's a good thing).

It is truly awesome to see your great work. Kudos to ya!!!

I told you I am sending my dash and AC mod out at the end of the month. I am trying to determine the color combo. A few thing to consider:

1)The new Head unit going in is a Premiere- colors are mainly blue.
2) I definitely want the blue needles- Hands down they ROCK!!
3) I kind of like my background to be bright- Hyper White or Hyper Blue, what do you think?

hey onelasttry, i got some bulb caps made by polarg. they're pretty well known for high quality lighting. whats your opinion on these? they go for about 8 bucks a pack, and each pack contains 8 caps,in four different colors.(2 per color per pack).
2 red
2 blue
2 green
2 orange

JZ, i have never seen them. thickness is really what you are looking for, along with the ability to withstand heat for years. that's the quality aspect to guide you to the right product. it sound like those are a bit cheap, but unfortunately i dont have any of those so i cant really say.

speedo cluster replacement bulbs are sylvania #24. for those who asked.

i went out and purchased the autozone pilot covers and as i suspected they were pitifully thin. they barely lit blue at all on the 14v bulb. below is a pic of them lit up. i was dissapointed to say the least. i thought we finally found a set everyone could use. the one's i get from LLoyd are TWICE as thick. So it looks like these are really the only one's that will fire ice blue. Unlike the one's in the pic below from autozone which were very dissapointingly thin. they just barely had a blue hue to them.

Here are the sylvania #24 bulbs in action. they are every bit as bright as they appear in this picture. I am very pleased. Everyone kept asking me what would be a good choice for backlight bulbs to fire the caps, these are definately the one's!
