It's been several months since anyone asked so I thought I’d try for some current information. I'm seriously looking for a wood console kit that matches the OEM wood in my 96 SC400. I’m hard to please. When I say matches, I mean in all respects: color, grain and gloss, and the fit must be perfect too. I’m also willing to consider a kit that provides replacement parts for the OEM wood so that everything matches.

Please reply with pictures, the kit vendor’s name and price, and your opinion on their service and the ease of installation.

Interestingly, my search returned many requests for how to remove wood kits. I guess there are a lot of horror stories that I’d be interested in hearing about too.

yeah i remember when i first wanted a wood grain kit...then i hear the stories and it curbed me!

I can get you a kit that will match the colour and grain, but matching that low-gloss finish on the oe wood is difficult, next best thing is to polish the oe wood to match the new kit, that's what I did.

 

Has anyone had experience from Joshua Tree for their kits?
