Emanage did not work!
Sent it back. Fortunately Horsepower Freaks accepted it back and are sending an SAFC II in place. Kudos to these guys for their service and putting up with me!
Specifically, it doesn't interface with the stock Karmann Vortex type airflow meter in the SC300. Causes glitches in the airflow signal that cause the car to stall or buck.

Damn that too bad. There were lots of us hoping you would get it going. Thanks for being the Brave One and doing all the legwork before a few of us jumped in. On the SAFC II...it does have a few netter features. I like it that you can save 2 different settings...makes hi/low boost settings easier. The knock monitoring is great too. Are the Hi/Low throttle settings rpm based still? Sounded promising.

The Emanage may or may not work with the VPC... It depends on the VPC's internal circuitry that converts its temp, pressure and rpm signals into the frequency that the emanage needs to see. With a VPC:
You'd have:
air pressure
air temp
rpm
feeding into the VPC.
Then
Coming out of the VPC, youd have the simulated karmann frequency.
Then
Going into the emanage with this simulated karmann frequency
Then
to the stock ECU.
Since a VPC can emit the correct harmann vortex signature to the stock ECU, I'd assume the VPC wouldn't be the limiting factor. What would decide the outcome is whether its the emanage to ecu portion that is incompatible or the airflow sensor to emanage portion that is incorrect.
My suspicion is that the stock airflow meter is what is causing the problem, but I'm not sure.

Wayne, if you wanna try it, I'm sure that Chris at Horsepower Freaks would let you try out the one I sent back and sell at a very good price. You might give them a shot.
