6 Spoiler Taillight Bulbs out??
I searched and searched...couldn't find anything...I would put this in the lighting forum, but I wanted SC owners to read it. That being said...my tailight in my rear spoiler was about 1/3 burnt out the other day. I took it off in an effort to change the bulbs myself, only to find that the bulbs were all soldered to a computer chip looking board. Now it looks like the whole damn thing needs to be replaced instead of just a few little bulbs.
Has this happened to anyone else? I have a '99 400, with 28,000 miles on it....I would expect this from a dodge, ford, or chevy...but certainly not my lexus.
Now it's sunday, the dealer is closed, and I am driving around looking like crap. Any input on fixing this myself would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I searched more and more, and of course, I found what I was looking for. Since it is still Sunday, I don't know what they will tell me, but if they try and say that I have to pay $350 because some miniature bulbs went out, I will be looking for other solutions....
I noticed tons of condensation when I pulled the LED's out, and I think that must've been what killed the bulbs...
Anyway, if anyone has solved this problem cheaply...let me know.
Thanks! I will understand if this post gets moved or deleted

if its your third brake light or center brake light as they call them then you can get just the led light replacement...at www.spoilerlights.com...i had the same problem with the led lights...i think the replacement part is only about 80 or 90 bucks...but you have to know the size of the light and thickness of it but im sure you can call them and speak to someone about it....if you search a little bit i think you can find one of my old posts about the brake light.
