alternator wire/pigtail/harness color pattern HELP!
My pigtail fell apart and i have no idea what pattern the colors were in. i ordered a new one and there not the same colors just red green and black can any one tell me what colors hook up to what?

OP - it will help if you post what year and model is your car .
You probably have the 3 prong oval connector .
oh thought i did its a 97 so yes.....im assumeing
green goes to black
red goes to yellow
black goes to white?
wish this wasnt happening i changed the alternator like 4 mouths ago but the pigtail was cracked and i forgot about it because i wasn't driving it for a while so when i when to change it the whole thing just crumbled.
