Default 2 questions for the sc experienced

1. How do the lights turn on at night in the center. When my headlights are on there is no lights on but a/c and radio have power.

2. What size bulb is the glovebox bulb. I bought a silvania 74 which said it would fit from the store but it was too small. Do I have to go to Lexus to get one.

Just small things that were bothering me after a year of having my car. Can't wait until winter so I can do my swap so I want to have everything perfect by then.

Thanks

they are burnt out (the lights). It is common. The dimmer module connects to the center piece (all of it) through the rear of the main dimmer switch. this controls the center panel. If playing with the dimmer **** doesnt help, the bulbs are shot. If you are handy with a soldering iron, do a search for the ac climate cluster and you'll see ryans thread on replacing the bulbs, amongst others. Good luck!

I will have to check the wires. I know the bulbs are not burned out because it is a new climate control that I put in. I looked in ttthe lex manuals and did not see much. Might have to bounce it off a mechanic down at the dealership. Thanks for the help though.

When you turn on your headlights or parking lights, your dash lights will automatically dim. This includes the climate control, radio, etc. If you have the intensity turned down, your dash lights, etc., may appear to be off especially in the day time. You could always turn up the intensity but then you'll run into the "disappearing needles syndrome" sooner than normal.
