Whoever says they didn't feel a difference, you should ignore anything else they have to say about these cars.

^^ I completely missed that from one of Joe's posts.

95-00 LS400 front brakes (and Supra MKIV TT front brakes) in Lexus SC's are a night and day difference from stock braking performance. There is no contest whatsoever. It is one of the most universally recommended first modifications with very clear benefits. Joe, the people whose opinions you have read stating they didn't notice much difference are incorrect. Even otherwise stock you would benefit from those LS400 front brakes.

haha fair enough, was somewhere on a forum. I couldn't fathom how rotors that much bigger and matching calipers wouldn't make a difference. If you have crap tires that skid or cause the abs to intervene well before the brakes hit their limit maybe, but there is no way brakes a good inch bigger and bigger calipers dont make a difference. That would totally obsolete every big brake kit ever sold.

Anyway I have narrowed the field down to 2, a 93 and a 94 and somehow talked both sellers down to an obscenely low price. So looking like either today or tomorrow I will be able to come home with a sc400

Well I got myself an SC Came home with a dark blue 93 SC400
it has 209k miles, only 5k on a rebuilt transmission, 23k on timing set
Tires are in great shape didn't check size of brand it was already dark out but they grip great on a roundabout wheels look better than in these pics I just copied from the CL ad. Aren't exactly what I want but they look really good on the car ad sit pretty nice near the edge of the wells
Has some bad paint spots and needs an alignment
Runs fantastic and the transmission is super smooth, but it is stuck in o/d off because the button is broken off of that stalk. And of course the speedo works "sometimes" my drive home wasn't one. And the speedo and tach needles of course have no light.
Interior is in amazing shape only small gear on driver seat.
has a huge muffler tip you can see in second pic but is pretty quiet had a nice almost American V8 rumble cruising along but very conservative. Need to look at the suspension it seems pretty low not sure if it's stock but it wasn't mentioned

Okay did some daylight looking. It is an Apexi muffler, however the other one is missing it isn't routed into a single the other muffler is just gone. I am baffled about how quiet it is with only one muffler.
it has some kind of little fog lights in the front bupper
Wheels flush out hella nice
paint definitely has some bad areas

On the plus side I finally got around to opening the trunk and the missing muffler was in there. Which is great because that style isn't on apexi's site anymore so it has probably been discontinued.

Tires are 245/45r17 Granada Touring HP (also seeming to be discontinued in this size) same diameter tire as stock but wider, wheels are American Racing.

i need to figure out the speedometer , it hasn't worked any of the few times I have driven the car so I am assuming the speed sensor is shot. Will look for info about what the usual issue is with that while I look up the needle LED replacement
