A colleague of mine passed on an original copy of the CALTY DESIGN RESEARCH booklet which was a supplement to Car Styling Magazine. I scanned each page pertaining to the SC which details the concept design process. Enjoy the 600dpi scans. This may take several posts.
thanks for sharing this! 1st time I've seent it I don't know if its cause Im into history, but its a good read and I'm glad the SC's history was captured in this book and now the images scanned in by UpInTheLex

Thanks Jadu,
I felt the same way as you, surprised I hadn't seen this sooner! Always valuable to preserve history. What amazes me is the car was mostly designed by 1985 and completed by 1989. It is impressive that the design team was able to plan and make a car that will still be relevant 10-15 years down the road.
The book was given to me by Jeff, the owner, of Harris Design in Eugene Oregon. He took a trip to Calty when he was studying design in college and kept this booklet all these years.
Truly enjoyed this! I'm truly amazed by how the SC's design background is from Calty, and was truly an art work. And when I look around nowadays, people who truly love the SC's are artists in one form or another.
Great post! Thank you for sharing with the rest of the class!
