Never had a doubt! Nice work.

Looks good! How does that 10 perform in there? And what are you doing for door speakers?

Sounds pretty good IMO...Waaaayyy better than the Nakamichi that was in there. It don't warp the trunk metal or anything but it hits pretty hard for what it is. I'll be running the same 6.5" Rockfords in the doors on channel 3&4 on the amp.

Here's a quick pick of the amp mount...I couldn't do a flush mount in the quarter panel due to spacing.
Anyway, I guess this will work for now. Let me tell ya, it was a jigsaw puzzle getting it all installed.

I had to make the MDF cutout twice because I drilled the last hole for the wires in the wrong place. It bolts down with three 10mm bolts, two on the bottom where the old amp mounting bracket was, and one up top into the quarter structural support. There's a hole behind where the amp is mounted to stick my arm through for the wires and bolts.

Looks good, you obviously took some time getting it to fit well.
Was the wheel arch in the way of flush mounting? I'm thinking of using that space for an amp rack as well, probably both sides.

The support part is what gets in the way. the part the antenna mounts to but opposite. The wheel arch doesn't seem to be in the way but it may be also. I suppose a flush mount could still be done, but would have to protrude out further into the trunk area. I originally had the MDF piece cut to fill out all the little areas but I couldn't get the darn thing to go into place. Being rigid it just would not go in. so I had to relieve the part behind the trunk lid arm. I'm not completely sold on this mount. I may try to whip up another version later.

You can use a couple of pieces of strap metal in situations like that. Just cut the piece off, as you did, and reattach it with strap metal on the back side,
leaving a little (or big) gap where it was cut. Go ahead and carpet over it as normal. When it's time to put it in place, the strap will allow you to bend it back
enough to get around the obstruction. You can also use the same trick, first bending the strap into a "step" shape, to set the problem piece farther back. Etc.

When you get around to the doors, please post some pics for us. I have 4", 5¼", and 6½" that could be used up there, and haven't decided which way to go yet.
The interior on these cars flows so well I just can't come up with a way to modify it without looking like an add-on. I curse the designers for being so thorough!
