I have a 1995 SC300 and I am having trouble finding a part that is used to install the passenger side rear combination lamp. The combination lamp has two metal studs on its outboard side that extend through the metal framework inside the trunk and through the trunk liner. There is a metal nut and washer installed on each stud to secure the lamp and then a black plastic nut cover is placed over these to conceal them. I am trying to find a source for one of these nut covers (see photos). I checked with my local Lexus dealer who thought part number 90179-05076 was the correct item but it turns out this is the nut and not the nut cover. I'd really appreciate any help I can get in finding one of these!

Thanks very much for your help Luxor. I'll check back with the parts man at my local Lexus dealer and have him order one of these for me. If it turns out being the correct part, he will have learned something he couldn't figure out on his own!

 

Just wanted to provide some follow-up on my search for this mysterious part. The part that Luxor suggested (90467-02001-C0) is a common press-in fastener and not the nut cover that I was trying to find. This part does not seem to appear in any of the Lexus SC300/400 part diagrams or lists. In order to come up with a suitable replacement, I ended up buying some Heater-Air Conditioning Duct Plastic Nuts; Screw Size: M4.8 (#10); Hex Size: 10mm; Flange Diameter: 24mm; Overall Height: 10.3mm; Black Nylon from Lawson Products (part number 1481959) and some nylon flat washers from Seastrom (part number 5606-44-177) which I glued to the flanges of the nuts that face the trunk liner. After a quick spray of black paint to cover the white plastic washers they were all set to install and work fine. The questions of what the actual Lexus description and part number are for this are part still remain unanswered!
