Alright guys, so I got my W58 rebuilt, installed it myself and started having an issue with the clutch not disengaging. Every time I'd let off the pedal you could hear the entire drive line flex like it was trying to go somewhere even though the car was in neutral. Took it to the same shop that rebuilt my trans, and they thought my clutch was installed backwards because turning over the drive shaft required a pry bar which would also turn the crank, so something was definitely binding up. They wanted $600 to flip it.....

So I got it towed it home

After getting it home, I got working on it and got the trans out of the car, pulled the pressure plate off, and the clutch was installed the proper way and then my heart sank. I started looking at the clutch and pressure plate, the clutch looked like it had been through hell, but the pressure plate was fine. I started to think that the hydraulic throw out bearing wasn't bled properly and allowing the clutch to stay engaged all the time, but the drive line would flex in neutral indicating something else was hung up.

I made sure the transmission was 100% in neutral and did a test

I turned the input shaft of the trans and the output shaft was also spinning, did some research and this is apparently normal due to friction etc etc, but then I put the drive shaft in and had a buddy hold it tight, and I couldn't get the input shaft to budge anymore and I once again made sure it was 100% in neutral.....

Basically just wanting to confirm that this is a transmission issue and not clutch related. Anyone else have issues with this?
